La Cave Privée at the Mirabelle in the Hotel Splendide Royal: the only seventh-floor wine cellar in Rome

Discovering the secrets of Rome's most spectacular roof garden

One of the most stunning rooftop restaurants in Rome, Mirabelle at the Hotel Splendide Royal not only boasts a majestic view of the city and an outstanding kitchen run by chef Stefano Marzetti, but also prides itself on a collection of more than 750 labels from across the world in its seventh-floor wine cellar, La Cave Privée

A special space for wine enthusiasts, La Cave Privée is an elegant, air-conditioned private room with a stylish and modern crystal table that can sit up to 12 people where visitors can sample varieties from the renowned Champagne region to the greats of Burgundy, from Baroli to Barbareschi, all the way to Marsala.

The room can be reserved for work meetings, private dining or wine tastings directed by Head Sommelier Fabrizio Colaianni

According to Colaianni, “A restaurant of the highest quality such as Mirabelle requires a wine cellar of similar stock, not only in terms of quantity and variety of bottles, but which is also aesthetically beautiful, engaging, and captivating.” Aside from the ambiance though, the principal feature is the wine selection.

Colaianni adds, “We must always provide the client with the attention that their requests deserve.

We are very happy when a regular client finds something new, one that perhaps comes from another part of the world, or when an international visitor discovers a local wine variety.

For this reason, we have local and global wine products, from the most established brands to the smaller wineries, on our shelves.

We love to have both. Wine does not compete with itself.” An exclusive experience awaits you at La Cave Privée.
