Palazzo Farnese

Palazzo Farnese is nearby, in the homonymous piazza decorated with two Egyptian, granite tubs from the Baths of Caracalla. The palazzo, granted to France in 1939 for 99 years (it now serves as the French embassy and is open to the public on July 14), was frescoed by the Carracci family, it was further modified by Antonio da Sangallo, Michelangelo, Giacomo della Porta and Il Vignola.
