Fontana di Trevi
- Piazza di Trevi
A cross between Baroque and Neoclassicism, the largest fountain in Rome reflects the story of the Augustus-era Aqua Virgo, the aqueduct that carried water from the Aniene to the Campus Martius. It was rebuilt multiple times in Antiquity and enlarged by Bernini but finished only in the late 18th century. Traditional says that if visitors to throw a coin into the fountain, they will return to the city one day.
